Mesa software startup raises $5.3M to expand remote patient monitoring

Mesa-based telehealth software startup eVisit Inc. raised $5.3 million to expand its remote patient monitoring platform.

The startup filed the incremental cash filing Dec. 13 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. This round is in addition to the $4.4 million seed round raised in December 2016, for a total $9.7 million equity raise.

Some of the largest health care systems in the U.S. use eVisit as its telemedicine provider, including Scottsdale-based HonorHealth, Chicago-based Blue Cross Blue Shield and Altamonte Springs, Florida-based Adventist Health System. Smaller clinics also use eVisit to implement telemedicine offerings.
