Is Your Business Ready to Apply for Funding?

Thank you for your interest in applying for funding to Desert Angels for your investment offering. Please note that we have an established process for entry, consideration, and acceptance of such offerings. We cannot accept solicitations submitted via email.

Our Process (there are no shortcuts!)

Desert Angels is a network of about 100 members who make individual investment decisions, and all activity is based on member engagement. The first step is to make an application to the Desert Angels deal room.

We strongly encourage you to visit each of the pages found on the Apply Today menu. The better understanding you have of our process, the better opportunity you will have to pursue a successful funding effort.

When you make your application, if that application is the first time that you have used Dealum, the login that you create will establish the profile for you and your business. That profile provides you with the ability to share your materials and communicate with our members. It also allows you to use the profile to connect with any other angel or investment group that makes use of the Dealum platform using the secure Dealum profile for your business.

How Do I Know When I am Ready?

An ideal investment opportunity for our members is an early-stage company with the following:

• A strong founding team that includes industry and startup experience and a complementary skillset.
• Significant market opportunity with a clear target market and growth potential.
• A scalable innovation with IP protection and demonstrated demand.
• Demonstrable traction with early customer and strategic partner engagement OR research-backed identification of likely first customer.
• Either a well-developed financial business plan or operating financials that reflect capital efficiency, reasonable valuation, and a clear path to exit.

Investment Types and Timing

• Our members generally invest in the seed stage.
• We prefer equity investments.
• We will consider a convertible note for the right opportunity.
• We will NOT consider SAFE agreements, LLC structures, or investments outside of North America.

Companies that generate member interest are invited to a Zoom screening session with a small team of subject matter experts. That screening team will determine which companies are invited to present at one of our monthly member meetings, where companies will connect directly with members and begin the next steps for consideration and due diligence. The time from application to funding depends on member engagement, level of detail provided, and existence and depth of due diligence already performed by others.
