Qwick Inc., an on-demand staffing startup for food and beverage contract employees, has moved into its own headquarters in Phoenix after almost two years of sharing coworking spaces.
The company partnered with JLL to sublease and sign a three-year lease on a 10th-floor office at the Biltmore Financial Center at 24th Street and Camelback Road.
Qwick co-founder and CEO Jamie Baxtersaid he was looking for an office the fast-growing startup could grow into.
“Our biggest challenge is hiring fast enough to grow,” said Baxter, whose company has hired 35 people during the past year, including 17 women. “About half of our workforce are women, and gender and ethnic diversity is important to our hiring. If we bring in diverse people, it brings in diverse thought and ideas.”
